Were do you think the movie went wrong?

I loved the book, I've read it at least a dozen times, but I was very disappointed with the movie. I think it would have been better made into a mini-series. Too many important story lines were left out. But that is just my opinion.

Was I the only one who just didn't feel sorry for Trixie? [spoilers]

Gah. She was just not a likeable character IMO. Going to the party wearing the sheer shirt, playing Rainbow and strip poker was one thing. Then how she kept lying about her story and making up things. Added to that was how she didn't even technically say no?

Did you guys like her? Did you feel sorry for her? Or is it just me?

I did not like this movie. They left out so much stuff. Like how trixie tries to kill her self, her shaving her head, her running away to alaska and falling in love, Also daniel's and laura's realshoship I can keep going on how much stuff they left out. Like half the book was left out!

I just finished watching it and wanted to see what everyone thought of it. Personally, i thought i was great. Even though trixie didn't go to Alaska, i loved the ending. I think they covered most of the book unlike the movie the Pact did. That do you guys think?

i don't think anyone who worked on this movie read the book. there are so many inconsistencies, i can't even get into it! the book is always better than the movie!!!!

So I was super confused while reading the last few chapters of this took, the ones that took place in Alaska. The narration and some of the characters kept referring to Bethel....as if that was closeby, or where they were, or something. But I thought Bethel was in Maine, where the Stones lived? Trixie went to Bethel High School...etc. Did I miss something...is there coincidentally a Bethel, Maine and a Bethel Alaska?

As I was reading The Tenth Circle, I knew Laura was the culprit when the DNA came back as female! It was too easy for it to be Trixie. My thoughts were confirmed when the baby in Charles' house laughed at her red hair. I was amazed by this book! I loved the comic book aspect and how Laura kept referring to Dante's Inferno. I also picked up on Laura being the murderer when she said the only thing she hadn't done yet is kill someone....when she was thinking about all the sins...

for some reason i cant seem to get in to this book, i know im not that far.. but in the other books that ive read by Jodi it has already gotten good... im getting very confused, especially in the part, about how her Trixi's mom works at a university? in the art department?? can somebody explain that to me?? and then correct me if im wrong- her and her boyfriend just broke up, he is over her- but it absolutely kills trixi? but i didnt get why his friend walked up to her... im really not...

I'm readin the tenth circle right now. one of my freinds at school said it wasnt that good of a book so i had to see for myself. i checked it out on friday at my school library and im already half way through the book. thing thats funny is im not the type who likes to read and me readin that much in just 3 days is really shockin to me.. i rthink when im finidhed with this book i'm goin ito check out another one of her books...... any ideas on which one...

Did Jason actualy rape her? Trixie told her dad that she didn't say no but then she said that she used actions to indicate that she didn't want to have sex. The Eskimoes in bethel communicate through actions more than words.

After reading Nineteen Minutes, it didn't take me long to read every other book Jodi had written because I loved it so much. I have to say I was a little disapointed by this one though. I didn't get as attached to the characters at all. Any thoughts?

What will happen to Laura?

I was in doubt for a little while after reading the book about whether or not the police would believe her: after all, think of the amount of times Daniel 'confessed'. Could they have perhaps just assumed that it was just another one of the Stones' family's lies to cover for their daughter?
