I loved reading this book and found the courtroom scenes especially intriguing. As I read what each lawyer had to say, I tried to put myself in the jury
members' shoes and decide how I would have viewed the case. Had they been allowed to return a verdict, do you think that Katie would have been found guilty
or innocent?

I don't understand why Ellie, Katie, and even Coop didn't jump to the conclusion that listeriosis could have been the problem with Ellie's
pregnancy. The first thing that jumped into my mind was that Ellie's baby could be suffering the same fate as she was proposing in court for Katie's
son. Also, why wasn't getting Katie treated for listeriosis and, for that matter, the Fishers' cows too?

I've read the majority of Jodi Picoult's books, and I think they are truly amazing.
I am just wondering if "Plain Truth" is worth reading.
I guess it kind of sounds like a stupid question, but I am just curious.
Is it one of her best books or one of her worst?
Thanks.

I just finished this book. I did like it, although I was somewhat irritated about the dates. If Katie conceived in October, yes, Jodi Picoult is right to have her have the baby in July if the baby was carried to term. But since the baby was 'two months early', the baby would have been born in May, not July.

Then I thought it just wasn't the amish way to murder, so why would sarah do it of all people. I understand she wanted to do the best for Katie but what about her Grandson?
Also if Katie had been given a prison sentence, I wonder if Sarah would have confessed to save her daughter going to prison.
