SPOILER - The End

So, my friend and I are trying to read all of JPs books right now and I just finished Keeping Faith (gives you someone to call crying when you finish whatever
book). Anyway, I said to her through almost half the book that I had NO feelings towards Mariah. Weird, I know since she is the central character. I just
kept feeling like "something" was missing. When her and Ian hooked up, my impression of her changed and I was immediately on her side....until the
end of the book. I...

I have found pretty big whoppers in most of her books. Mistakes editors certainly should have caught. I admit that I have grown increasingly tired of
Picoult's "mother love over all" outlook on life, but since all her "heroines" are mothers I guess this is not surprising. What is
surprising is that she would write of a priest talking about how Faith's wound on her side was in the same place where they nailed Jesus to the cross. Of
course, for anyone who has ever...

In Keeping Faith, there is one minor character who has autism. I was delighted that he was portrayed in a sensitive and plausible light.

I hope in the book due after Handle With Care, the new book we are also looking forward to that features a character with Asperger's will be done
just as well (which I have no doubt that it will).

The term rain man is considered a slur in autism circles and is always best avoided. It is the equivalent of a racial,...

This is my second attempt at reading this book and I think I'm just going to have to lay it aside. About a year ago I got through about 100 pages before
giving up on it. I decided to try it again because I usually really like Jodi Picoult's books. This time I'm about 170 pages through it and just
can't seem to be interested in it. Anyone else have a hard time with this one?? Maybe it's just me. <img height="15" src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/eyes.gif"...

I just finished Keeping Faith, and I had already read Change of Heart.

I came here, and was puzzled by the small number of threads about this book. To me, it was a better book than Change of Heart, which left me disappointed at
the end.

The characters were well developed - I really loved Millie, the quintessential Jewish grandmother Relationships were explored well and convincingly, the

I've probably placed my view on this book here before, but I am currently reading Change of Heart and I kept
coming back to this book. (Mainly due the links)
When I first read it the ending confused me. Yet now, I think that God was there all along. But to some degree Faith was creating it for the attention. Nearing
the end she gained the love she required but i think she continued it to help her mother.
Perhaps because she knew this...
